"We have been fortunate enough to have Saratoga Children's Theatre be a part of our family since our daughter was in kindergarten. She is now entering 4th grade and we believe whole heartedly that it has helped her become a better student- and a more confident, well rounded young girl. Besides loving to see her on stage we love how it has taught her an appreciation for theatre and the arts- and she has made good friends along the way!Meg Kelly and her team are building an amazing young theatre community- we look forward to many more years of SCT!!!!"

"Logan had a great two weeks at camp. I know she enjoyed doing the Hats camp but Frozen was by far, the favorite.I love the way the day is broken up for the kids with different activities, games and outdoor time. I can't think of a negative thing to say about any aspect of the camp and we can't thank you enough for making it possible for Logan to be a part of it all. It has been a great experience for her, and I know she'll be anxious to do it again."

"The program at SCT has certainly evolved in a favorable direction over the years! We love how the groups are targeted at age specific ranges that maximizes growth and experience. The format for shows is also improved - allowing for more than one opportunity to view the show. The fact that kids can stay for their final show is great too - from the multiple child perspective. We will surely return next year!"

"The Saratoga Children's Theater has become the 1st place to look in Saratoga County for quality theater education for children. I have worked with SCT as a director, choreographer, and teacher for seven years. The summer camp program has grown tremendously and yet continues to offer kids a chance to be heard and challenged individually by camp creative staff members. My oldest daughter participated in camp last year and can't wait sing and dance and make new friends again this year! The learning environment is kind and encouraging, and the production quality and talent showcased in the mainstage shows are fantastic every time. I'm so excited to be a part of this great group as they embark on new educational adventures this fall. Come see a show! You won't regret it!"

"On the first day of camp last year I brought my shy, clinging and resistant children to your door and immediately their instructor/counselor/teacher ignited and engaged them. The “improvements and growth” in my two sons after attending your summer camp was noticeable immediately. On your website, I noticed that your slogan is enriching, inspiring and educating so I was wondering if you might want to add a few more adjectives to the description related to the camp experience you offer. These additions could be the power in the values of empathy, imaginative engagement, self-improvement, self-reflection and an appreciation of the significance of humor.
My five and six-year-old sons were in several of your camps in the summer of 2014 and were totally immersed in so many areas of development especially the heightening of their self-confidence. Your camp is not just about theater. It appears to be an arena that holistically bring new ideas, passion and excitement to life. We will see you for summer camp 2015! Thank you for your continued commitment to a unique, quality children’s theater program. I am spreading the word."

"My son, Devin Towne experienced "theatre" in elementary school when he auditioned and received a small role in "The Music Man." In Middle School, Devin got a small role in High School Musical. While Devin enjoyed these experiences, I feel that his enthusiasm in the stage would have waned as a young boy in middle school. Devin auditioned for the "Wizard of Oz" with the Saratoga Children's Theatre and received a part in the production. This was the play and company that started the theatre "itch" for Devin. He has participated in many plays, including Charlie Brown, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, Guys and Dolls and many others with the Saratoga Children's Theatre. Devin has gone from a young, shy boy to a confident teenager who loves to be on stage, sing, act and mingle with the play group. He is now in a high school production and is very happy where he is. I can not thank Saratoga Children's Theatre enough for the opportunities they have afforded Devin and the support he has been given to become a confident teen-age boy who loves to sing and act."

"My daughter Gabrielle Vuillaume has been a student at Saratoga Children’s Theatre the last few years. Most of her advanced training has come from SCT. The class “Master Your Audition”has prepared Gabrielle to successfully audition and get lead roles. Gabrielle has met children from all over the Capital District, and during the summer camps, the children come from beyond the region.
Meg Kelly has done a great job bringing in professional staff to work with the children who are highly qualified in their field. Every time Gabrielle finishes a performance from SCT, she has gained more knowledge and has more training to be successful. Most importantly at SCT, the children are taught to have fun and respect one another in the end no matter who gets the lead role.
We are excited for 2012, and what Saratoga Children’s Theatre has to offer the community."

"Thank you for providing Saratoga with such a high quality and exciting window to the Arts for our children. My son, Josh, has been a happy participant since he was 5 years old (now 9) and it has been an incredible experience for him in the areas of confidence, ability, exposure to the Arts, and FUN! He has learned so much about acting, singing, performing, and himself in the process. You and your staff have always been professional, helpful, and supportive of his needs.
We look forward to continuing to participate in and support your efforts, and thank you for all that you do for our Community."

"As a costume designer for SCT in the summer of 2011, I was so pleased to observe the quality of the summer camps for children. I worked with the youngest ones. As a theatre professional of over 30 years I knew well the magic of theatre, the benefits one takes away, be it an audience member or an artistic staff person or an actor.
But for the most part children all ages, but especially the youngest group,.come in that door on the first day of their experience without a clue of what they are capable of acheiving. They leave taller, prouder, more selfconfident, and with a new selfawarness of their abilities. They have discovered the power of listening, the joy of singing, and dancing. The courage to try something new, the rewards of discipline, the benefits of respect for themselves, their fellow cast members and the artistic staff who are working with them. If one could pick only one continuing educational experience outside of formal school, theatre has to be the most comprehensive and beneficial.
They will take these new skills and awarnesses everywhere they go. To school, at home, with friends, and into the future. The experience is priceless."

"My daughter Lillian (8) loved her SCT camp experience last summer. She had so much fun learning her part and working with other kids to make a memorable production. The staff and teachers are wonderful and she can’t wait to go again this year."

"Let me start by giving you some background to Julia my 7 year old. At age 3 we would have to leave her crying at preschool because she was so painfully shy. She is our daughter that needs cues to greet and continue conversation with people and the one who wanted to try theatre camp as my heart broke knowing what she would experience during audition day. My fear came true as the first day of camp approached and Julia began having nightmares, long conversations about how she is scared to get up in front of people and breaking down as she practiced songs with us. As I dropped her off the first day I could see the panic in her eyes and as I watched out of site the tears flowed down her 7 year old cheeks. Julia told Mrs. Trimming that she did not Want to Audition and that she will take what ever little part she could. Julia then sat and watched child after child get up to try out, and by the end of the auditions and Mrs. Trimmings gentle encouragement got up on stage and sang a song on her own. When I picked her up she was so proud of herself. During performance time, I could see she was nervous yet excited and did very well as an member of an ensemble. Fast forward a few weeks to her next play. I left Julia with Mrs. Trimmings sobbing and scared. When I arrived back to pick her up after feeling that my baby would be so sad, I was greeted by the biggest smile and told that not only was she an orphan..which she wanted, but she was one of the orphans that had a speaking and some solo lines within songs-part. All I can say after that day was Julia has never been the same. When she performed that first night, it was as if Julia's personality was unlocked. I sat with my parents next to me and we were all sitting, beaming, with tears in our eyes, ok, my mom and I were actually crying. Julia was amazing up there. She had confidence, stage presence and was having fun. Since then, Julia is constantly singing throughout the house and has chosen the theatre camp for the summer of 2014 as her only camp. As a parent you want to take credit for your child's growth and maturity, however I can honestly say this time, it was not me...it was your amazing camp. Thank you!"
