Lauren Ogden

Costume Designer

 is a theatre artist with experience in producing, directing, choreographing, costume design, set design, playwriting and performance. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a BA in theatre and foreign languages. She attended the NYSSSA – Theatre Program (2009) and the Cambridge Theatre Conservatory (2008). In college she has produced, costumed and performed in multiple works, including Crimes of the HeartLady in the Dark, and The Children’s Hour. She has worked for the CYC Summer Theatre Workshop in Corinth, NY for five years, costuming and choreographing youth productions of Disney’s Beauty and the BeastOliver!Annie Jr.A 1920’s Midsummer Night Dream (an original musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s work), Once Upon a Mattress, and most recently a modern musical adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. Her10 minute play, “Face the Music and Dance” premiered at Confetti Fest 9 in October, 2013. Her one-act play, “Paradisicle,” was performed as a staged reading at Hubbard Hall’s Winter Carnival. Her first experience with SCT was costuming for the Spring 2015 production of Into the Woods. During the summer she works as faculty for Saratoga Arts’ Theatre Camp. She is currently employed as a substitute teacher and student tutor, working on getting dual certification in French and Spanish.
