Christopher Stefani, director, performer, and educator, teaches vocal/general music in the Greater Amsterdam School District. A recent graduate of Florida State University, Christopher earned a Master of Music in Opera Stage Directing in the summer of 2013, and a Bachelor of Music in Education at SUNY Fredonia in the spring of 2011.
Prior to his appointment in Amsterdam, Christopher taught a course on World Theatre History at Siena College in Loundonville. Through his work at Florida State, Christopher has directed several opera scene programs, as well as directing the American opera Three Decembers. Recently, Christopher has assisted on a production of Sweeney Todd, and directed productions of Willy Wonka and The Fantasticks.
Christopher has also performed with theaters across the country and many local groups including, Not So Common Players and the Schenectady Light Opera Co. Favorite performance credits include Anything Goes (Lord Evelyn Oakley), Spamalot (Historian/Minstrel/Sir Bors), South Pacific (Herbert Quale), Kiss Me Kate (Man 2), The Magic Flute (Papageno), Le Nozze di Figaro (Antonio), and La Boheme (Parpingnol).
