A Kyiv native, Ukrainian soprano Irina Petrik is an honor graduate of the historic Gliere Music College in Ukraine and San Francisco Conservatory of Music in the United States. She has since performed as a soloist and guest artist with National Philharmonic of Ukraine, Kyiv Youth Symphony and Choir, Opera Saratoga (formerly Lake George Opera), Arizona Opera, San Francisco Lyric Opera, Hubbard Hall Opera Theater, Lowell House Opera at Harvard University, Cohoes Music Hall, Proctors Theater, Mosaic Arts Opera, Atlanta Folk Orchestra, Schenectady Symphony, Washington Balalaika Society Orchestra, Festival of United Nations, Petroushka Ball, among others. Most recently, Irina appeared at Harpa National Concert Hall with Opera Skagafjordur in Reykjavik, Iceland and as Odarka in Cossack Beyond the Danube with Commonwealth Lyric Theater in Boston, MA. Ms. Petrik is looking forward to returning to her homeland in the spring of 2016, as she prepares to make her debut as Rosalinda in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus with National Operetta House of Ukraine. Irina is honored and proud to be taking part in raising the next generation of young performers: the students of Capital District School of Ukrainian Studies, Carondelet Music School at Sisters of Saint Joseph and Hilton Music Center.
