Michael Lotano, Artistic Director

Michael Lotano, Artistic DirectorMichael Lotano, originally from Schenectady, is a local singer, actor and educator who recently received his Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. He also holds a Bachelor’s in Music Education with a minor in Acting from the same college. Michael teaches general music and chorus at Tesago Elementary in the Shenendehowa School District as well as private voice lessons locally. He has performed locally as a professional soloist with the Octavo Singers, Burnt Hills Oratorio Society, and the Russell Sage Singers. Michael has performed many roles on stage with such groups as Cohoes Music Hall, Park Playhouse, Lake George Opera at Saratoga and SLOC. He also completed a summer as a Young Artist in the Intermezzo Opera Festival in Tampa, FL. Michael is a certified NYSSMA Adjudicator for Voice.  As a musical director, Michael enjoys working with children and adults of all ages. He has musically directed middle school shows at Shen and also “Little Women” and “Barnum” at Ballston Spa High School. At SLOC he musically directed “The Scarlet Pimpernel” and received a TANYS award for Excellence.
